Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Spider has finally revealed to Toyah he’s an undercover cop in Coronation Street.
Wednesday’s (December 21) episode centered around Max deciding to go on a camping trip with Griff and his gang, despite David warning him against it.
Max was quickly made to regret his decision when it turned into a survivalist training mission where Griff had him racing through the forest.

Spider grew concerned when Max fell and was injured during a jog, yet Griff and the gang put pressure on Max to “tough it out”. Max then outright refused when Griff ordered him to skin a rabbit for their dinner.
“I’m really starting to wonder if you’re ready for all this yet,” Griff grumbled as a dejected Max walked away.
Spider tried to comfort him, but when Spider insisted it didn’t matter what Griff thought of him, Max made it clear he wanted to impress the group’s leader.
When Max went to change his sweater before the group went on “a little drive”, he discovered they were hiding a bomb in the boot of the car.

Max grew increasingly worried during the drive, especially when they all noticed a burning smell. The crew got out of the car just before it exploded, with Max carried away unconscious.
As Spider rushed to the scene, he demanded to know: “What happened? It looks like a bomb went off.”
Griff dodged any questions, instead demanding his team “sort out” the flaming car while he went with Spider to have an unconscious Max rushed to the hospital.
Griff posed as David to fool hospital staff while Max was treated for multiple burns and a concussion. He pressured the youngster to lie to the nurse that it was propane that had burned him.

Spider went back to Weatherfield, where he finally broke down to Toyah and confessed what’s really been going on with his undercover operation.
“I’m not a racist. I’m not a thug. I’m not one of Griff’s lackeys like the rest of them. I’m doing this to try to stop them before he hurts anyone else,” Spider insisted.
Toyah was stunned by the revelation, ordering Spider to “stay away” and leave her alone…
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
