Jeff Brazier has spoken out on announcing his split from wife Kate Dwyer after nine years together
On Monday, Jeff had told followers he was feeling lonely after splitting from PR director Kate earlier this year.
He moved to a new home, with his sons Bobby, 19, and Freddie, 18, from his relationship with Jade Goody, who tragically lost her battle with cancer on March 22, 2009.
After being inundated with support, Jeff uploaded a video where he said: ‘I just wanted to say a big thank you to everybody that to my post yesterday. Since I sent it, I felt a little bit embarrassed, like I’d made a fuss.

Breaking her silence: And while Jeff admitted he was feeling lonely, it appears his estranged wife was going through the exact same emotions as she shared this poem
It’s funny how things that we’ve been conditioned to feel all our lives sort of really follow you around.
‘That must be changed for me otherwise I wouldn’t have put it out there. I am proud to have shared something that was difficult. I’m glad that lots of other people have sort of been able to identify with it.’
Jeff said he simply posted that message to let his friends know that he is around and to reach out to him.

Being honest: Jeff said he feels speaking out has been the right thing to do after feeling lonely
He added: ‘That was what I felt like I needed to do and it was the right thing. It was a brave thing really.
‘But I’m really pleased that I did it so I encourage anybody else in a certain situation to do the same.’
While Jeff admitted he was feeling lonely, it appears his estranged wife was going through the exact same emotions as she prepared to spend their first Christmas apart since their split.
Kate shared a poem which Rochelle Humes had uploaded. It reads: ‘Someone you know is preparing for their first Christmas without their husband, wife, mother, father, brother, sister, daughter or son.

Others are preparing for their last. Regardless of the specific, remember that this season of joy is often times a season of sorrow for many.
‘Be kind, be generous, give love, give help; if nothing else, just don’t give people a hard time.’
Jeff married Kate, 32, in 2018 but they split earlier this year and have moved out of their shared home. after almost a decade together.
Taking to Instagram, Jeff said: ‘I have so much to be grateful for and I appreciate facing the lessons I need to grow but this year has been challenging to say the least.
My nine-year relationship ended earlier in the year and I’ve been working through that on top of supporting someone close to me who is going through something difficult.
‘The boys and I have recently moved home to a new area and I spend most of the time alone as the boys obviously have their own things going on.
It’s been constant change this year and I’m good with adapting but the combination of things have left me low at times.
‘I’ve honestly never felt loneliness like it. Can we put Christmas back a few months?!’
‘I know time is a gift’: Jeff was very open and honest with his words
He said: ‘I have lots of great friends and I know they’re a phone call away but sometimes I find it hard to admit I’m struggling.
‘I have to plug myself back in to the friendships that have supported me, surviving 14 years of my focus laying elsewhere.
‘I know there are many of us out there that find it easier to support than to be supported, but here’s to a better balance of the two in 2023, we need it and deserve it.’
In June 2020, Jeff had said his marriage was stronger than ever after they had hit a pre-pandemic rocky patch and he was seen without his wedding ring.
But Jeff had said the pair were back ion that as a result of spending more time together, saying they were able to ‘pause and reset’ their marriage.
However, the pair decided to call time on their marriage earlier this year for good.
Fantastic four: The couple spent lockdown with Jeff’s sons, 15-year-old Freddy and Bobby, 17, whose mother Jade Goody died when they were four and five
