Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly been approached by Chelsea, who are keen to take the teenage sensation to Stamford Bridge. Garnacho was handed his Red Devils debut last season and scored his first Premier League goal in a 2-1 victory over Fulham last month.
United signed Garnacho from Atletico Madrid in October 2020 when he was still only 16 years old. And the Argentine winger went on to bag 16 goals and eight assists in 31 matches for the Red Devils’ under-18s side.
Last season, the ace notched seven goals in the FA Youth Cup, including a brace in the final, as United beat Nottingham Forest to lift the trophy. And just days before that showpiece encounter, he came off the bench in United’s Premier League draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford for his maiden first-team appearance.
Garnacho has been given more opportunities during this campaign and has appeared in eight matches. And his rise to prominence has alerted rival clubs to his talents.

Garnacho found the back of the net in his team’s Europa League victory over Real Sociedad last month as he got on the end of a Cristiano Ronaldo pass to lash home the only goal of the game. And the youngster’s recent form means he is now in contention to start every match for Erik ten Hag’s team.
Garnacho could be set for a bright future in the Premier League if he does stay at United. And last month, the teenager said: “I’ve had to keep working hard until the moment came where I was given my opportunity. For the moment, I’m making the most of the opportunities he’s (Ten Hag) giving me. I don’t want to take a backward step from here, I’d like to appear regularly in the team and keep going the same way.”
